1976
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Mr. Menon's journey started in 1976 in Oman where he established the roots of company with very humble beginnings but with a passion and determination to create the very best in terms of quality and craftmanship. Services and Trade Company was set up in Muscat, Oman as a fledgling business for maintenance and repairs before developing into an interiors outfit that by 1984, had set itself on course to win big contracts, driven mostly by a strong reputation for good quality work.

1995
ROYAL APPROVAL
Within a very few years through sheer perseverance and demonstrated excellence, the company went on to work for the royalty of Oman, Bahrain, Brunei, Qatar and the president of Tajikistan. Mr. PNC Menon spent the most glorious part of his career designing and developing palaces, royal facilities and mosques. The Grand Mosque in Muscat bears testimony to his work. Over the course of 8 years, he developed a strong bond with Oman, a country which provided him with a strong foundation and “backbone” that has enabled him to achieve greater success in the years ahead. In 1995, he and his family and were granted Omani citizenship.

THE CITY OF GOLD
Mr. Menon expanded his business footprint in 2003 to Dubai, the business capital of the Middle East. Dubai’s world-class infrastructure, sustainable economic growth and access to international talent made this an ideal location to establish SOBHA Middle East, a privately held company with plans to diversify across GCC and some other regions in Asia and Europe with focus on luxury residential development, construction, glazing, metal works and furniture manufacturing.

HOMES THAT INSPIRE
With a 40-year tradition of developing world class luxury homes and offices, our founder decided it was time to raise the bar even higher. Focusing on his belief that the 3 key elements that make a great home are great design, unmatched service and uncompromising quality, Mr. Menon sought to create sublime environments that would be home to the world’s most discerning with projects like Sobha Hartland. Launched as a $4 billion-dollar, mixed-use development Sobha Hartland is at the epicenter of Dubai. The resort-style luxury housing project encompasses 8 million square feet of freehold community in Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City where 30% (2.4 million square feet) of the community is reserved only for green and open spaces.
